The Laurels – Period Property Refurbishment

A recently completed refurbishment that opened up the heart of a family period home in north Hampshire, knitting the kitchen, dining, utility into one flowing, light-filled space. We removed a load-bearing wall and formed a new structural opening with steel beams and padstones, giving the owners the wide, uninterrupted sightlines they had been wanting for years.

Every detail was reworked around the new layout. Underfloor heating on a latex screed was laid beneath a stone and lime effect tiled floor, zoned through a new manifold alongside the existing central heating. The plumbing was reconfigured around a Quooker tap with pet jet and upgraded radiators in the snug, while the electrics were upgraded with fresh downlights, picture frame tv and feature lighting. New ogee skirting, plastering and a complete redecoration finished the rooms to a clean, premium standard, ready for the family to move back into.
